Embriody went Open Source with open SOURCE embroidery and an exhibition becomes this week into Sweden. Open SOURCE embroidery is a large exhibition of new work and commissions on BildMuseet in Sweden and museum for handicraft and people art in San Francisco, the USA. The open SOURCE embroidery exhibition presents contemporary art to examine the embroidery and code used like an instrument of the partizipativen production and the selling methods. The project examines, how the open SOURCE software development has model in the language of the cultural sharing, at which interdisciplinary beginnings were taken up to skill shares and co-operation. The exhibition covers Material-und digital works to make visible that the physical characteristics of the technology and social communications networks. The open SOURCE embroidery exhibition unites individually and collectively out works of art of artists, craftsmen, decision makers, programmers and HTML user, those the relationship between handicraft and code to explore physical and digital area. The works of art experiment with interdisciplinary beginnings for the change of the samples, the DIY culture of Hacking and sampling in the sound, GPS and mobile technologies. The exhibition brings work of several international artists.
